This web site is a companion site to my Gregory & Hudson Family History web site. The Family History site, although established and administered by me, is very much a collaborative effort by a small group of family members who use it to document their own portion of a fairly large tree. The efforts put in by other members of our wide family is very much appreciated. However, Family Matters, this web site, is my own work. It is not just about family history, as it will also contain a variety of information that is of personal interest to me. That is, when I get a "round tuit". This site is new and I have to do a lot of work to get the contents to an acceptable standard. So please bear with me as you find pages with not much information. More will come when I can find more round tuits. But please let me know as soon as you can if you find any bad links. Links I can fix easily; adding content is a little more complex. But have a look around as there are some examples of what interests me. For example, you can find a diary of the trip Andrew and I did to the Great Victoria Desert. You can find such things as who in our family are interred in various cemeteries such as Sandgate or Oxley Island. And you can find general information about Australian history and other items that interest me. I will add further bits of information that I think others may find of interest. But generally it will be about my family and my interest in my family history and the recording of same. I would be pleased to hear from anyone with any comments or observations. You can email me at

The title of this web site has two meanings. The first is that it contains articles of interest to me in my hobby of researching my ancestors. The other meaning is that my family is very important, they matter to me. Your will therefore find articles covering both of these aspects. For example you will find such articles as: Or links to Andrew's web site. The place to start to get some brief details of my family is at the web site set up by Andrew. Your will also find articles on software, particularly relating to family history. |
