Title: Cotter - Albert

The dead bodies of Australian soldiers killed in the charge on Beersheba lie in a row on the ground. The dead men were members of the 12th and perhaps the 4th Light Horse Regiments. The body marked with an 'X' is that of 924 Trooper Albert (Tibby) Cotter of the 12th Light Horse Regiment. His elder brother Pte John Cotter, 4th Battalion, was killed in action in France less than a month earlier on 4 October 1917.
