Note: Allan arrived on board the "Ontario" as an assisted migrant. Allan's sisters Mary and Flora and his brother John, with his wife Marion, were also on board. There were many deaths on this voyage and after it reached Sydney, with the ship held in quarantine until 15 December 1852, but some immigrants were not released until 5 January 1853.
