She was buried circa 4 October 1818 at Devonshire Street cemetery, Sydney, NSW, Australia, and was moved to La Perouse in 1901 when the cemetery made way for Central Railway Station. The headstone reads -

Sacred To the memory of Mrs Betty Bean Wife of Mr Jas. Bean (Senior) Who departed this life October 2nd, 1818 aged 64 years

Affliction sure long time I bore Physicians were in vain Til death did please to give me ease And free me from my pain.
